The Child in Us All

Our fall concert was designed as a family concert for children ages 6 and above. It included some exciting elements: dance, hammered dulcimer, a newly commissioned work by Boulder composer Kathleen Fagre, songs in Japanese and Norwegian, along with more familiar works in English from “The Secret Garden”, “Hansel and Gretel”, and “Quilters”. We will also feature several humorous selections from Leonard Bernstein’s song cycle, “I Hate Music!”.
“The Child in Us All” will also marked our first collaboration with Speaking of Dance Choreographer and Artistic Director Deborah Reshotko, who created a piece for two dancers for two of the choral pieces we will perform.
