This recording represents the endless chain of music handed down from one generation to the next, and how thankful we are for the many singers and musicians who have given of their time and talent to make this vision a reality. It is ASTER’s hope that we will be able to spread this music all across the country to people who would never be able to attend our concerts, as well as sharing it with our loyal fans here in Colorado.

ASTER is pleased to announce the release of our first CD! Endless Chain contains sixteen songs highlighting the past eight years of ASTER Women’s Chamber Choir performances.

“It’s been a dream of mine for many years,” says Christina Lynn-Craig, ASTER’s founder and artistic director. “I’m thrilled to have such talented and dedicated women to work with to perform such beautiful music. I’m so pleased with the quality of the CD and excited we’re now able to share our music with everyone!”

Endless Chain is a collection of the very best of the melting pot that is America. Selections include lullabies from Scotland and Wales, folksongs from Ireland, Norway and Scotland, hymns from many traditions, settings of Lynn-Craig’s Old Wives’ Tales and two of ASTER’s all-time favorites: Endless Chain, Pete Sutherland’s tribute to quilters and O Unico Amore, a piece by Boulder composer Kathleen Fagre commissioned by ASTER to honor Mother Cabrini.

CDs are available for $15.00 (plus $5.00 S&H).

ASTER Women’s Chamber Choir owns the quilt blocks and legacy quilt you will need if you are producing the musical “Quilters”. We rent the set for $500 plus shipping charges for a time period of six weeks.

The quilt blocks and Legacy Quilt are smaller than those rented by the Denver Center for Performing Arts, and will fit a smaller theatre very well. The dimensions are approximately 2′ x 2′ for each block and 10′ x 10′ for the Legacy Quilt. We also include a larger 4′ x 4′ Lone Star Quilt for the “Quiltin’ and Dreamin” and a Freedom Quilt which can be used in the closing number of Act I, “The Needle’s Eye”.

Photos of the quilt blocks, the legacy quilt and the other quilts included in the rental can be seen below. Click on any photo for a larger version. ASTER will ship these to any community or regional theatre or any college or university theatre department in the continental United States.

Costumes and properties including a standing hoop for the “Quiltin’ and Dreamin” scene and various musical instruments for sound effects may be rented by schools or community theatres in Colorado. The cost for renting these items is $500 plus shipping. Costumes must be returned washed!

These rental fees help support ASTER Women’s Chamber Choir, and will save your school or company lots of time and money.

Please contact Christina Lynn-Craig directly for further information.
